The Canadian mortgage marketplace is vast and a very confusing place for today's consumer.   While the average consumer today has a very busy schedule, even someone with the time and inclination to begin researching and understanding the fine print of every mortgage would have a hard time accessing the information needed to make a sound decision.

Professional Background

I completed the Financial Services Underwriting Post-Diploma program at Seneca College in Toronto, Ontario in 2004 with Honours.  Recipient of the Home Loans Canada Excellence Award and the CIMBL Foundation Award.

I am a member of the Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals (CAAMP) and have held the Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) designation since 2006.

In addition to being a member of the Independent Mortgage Brokers Association of Ontario (IMBA), I hold the Certified Professional Mortgage Broker (CPMB) designation and was elected to the IMBA Board of Directors from 2009 to 2012.   As an instructor for IMBA, I have enjoyed teaching the IMBA Mortgage Agent Course, which is a requirement to become licensed as a new Mortgage Agent in Ontario.  I served on the Education Committee and co-authored the 2012 Mortgage Agent Re-Licensing Course, a requirement for all Ontario mortgage agents and brokers to renew their license for the 2012-2014 term.

Prior to becoming a licensed mortgage broker, I previously worked for major Canadian financial institutions in both the personal lending, independent business and commercial lending areas.  I am happy to be able to offer my clients the benefit of my mortgage knowledge and expertise and assistance in making the right financial decisions!                    

Personal Background

As a homeowner and mom myself, I understand the challenges today in managing a family and a budget.  I also know that life has a habit of very easily getting in the way of goals like paying off your mortgage.  While it is very easy to get distracted with the events of everyday life, most people would agree that a paid off mortgage would be a big plus in working towards greater 'financial independence'.

I believe education is key in helping you to make informed and educated big-money decisions.  When searching for suitable options for your mortgage financing needs I will help to summarize for you the best choices available in a way that simplifies things so that you feel comfortable and confident moving forward.

However my service does not end once your mortgage is arranged;  Having helped you to choose a great mortgage, I will also help you manage your mortgage in order that you are always working towards your mortgage being paid off as efficiently as possible.   I will make recommendations to you based on the same criteria I would use to recommend options for myself or my own family...and in so doing, would like to think that my customers do become an important part of my extended family!
